Submission Strategies: Expedite Requests
Keep deadlines in expedite requests reasonable
Expedite Requests
- Submission Tip #4
- A sure-fire way to damage a submission is to ask a law review to decide on a paper in an
unreasonable timeframe. One week is the minimum; two weeks is standard. Only send
follow-up requests to report any new offer if it is:
1) from a better law review, or
2) extends the decision deadline.
- One Step Beyond
- When authors email expedite requests
to your law review, what information
should they include?
